Does anyone else here revel in the fact that the current generation of rat-bastard kids in M*ch*g*n will be growing up with the same disappointment and anguish we had to grow up with in the 1990s? The difference between us and them though, is they have no future whatsoever. Hahahaha!

hehe beautiful revelation. Realize they are also 1-3 against ND, and that trend is only going to get worse (good thing for them they stop playing ND in 08 IIRC)...

Ah yes, I am definitely savoring Tressel's dominance over Lllloyd. So many talented teams from the 90s stumbled against those bastards up north. 1995 and 1996, and then their bastard cousin did us in when we were by far the best team in the country in 1998.

I wonder how long the slur in Lllloyd's name can get before they fire him?

This is why I want scUM to be undefeated heading into our game every year.
They have yet to feel what its like to let a NC slip between their fingertips due to a loss to their arch rival...

Just another reason this year's win is so fucking satisfying. Last year was cool, a big time ass whoopin, but the rat-bastards knew it was over early. This year...a big time comeback...we ripped their fucking hearts out!!! :slappy:

I was begining to think that I was bad luck. I started really watching the football games in 1986. With me watching, Bruce was 1-1 against Michigan. Then came the Cooper years, and my experience with Michigan quickly dropped to 3-11-1. In fact, in all the games were I was in the stands, Ohio State was 0-4-1 in that time. Since then, I was at the 2004 game, and the Bucks are up to 7-12-1. Hopefully, they can keep up with the winning.

Growing up, watching football in the late 80's and 90's, it still feels like Michigan is going to beat us every year. John Cooper has screwed with my mind so much, that I automatically enter this game each year with a bad feeling in the pit of my stomach.

I'm slowly beginning to turn around, but it's still going to take a few more years of dominance/equality to get back to where I should be on this.

I've been meeting people lately who introduce themselves as being from M*ch*g*n who say "but don't worry, I'm not a W*lv*r*n* fan." That's funny in and of itself - people just don't wanna claim 'em anymore.

My response to those people? It's as if they're afraid that we'll make fun of 'em or something. The best part is, WE DON'T EVEN HAVE TO. All those insults are much more necessary when you have to stand up for your team all year because your team never stood up for themselves in THE GAME. Nowadays, we don't even have to say anything to them - they already know what's up. Of course, that doesn't mean we can't remind them how much they suck anyway - it's just not as necessary anymore because they already know it.

Growing up, watching football in the late 80's and 90's, it still feels like Michigan is going to beat us every year.

This year was the first year where I didn't even entertain that notion. Because of Tressel and what he's done, I knew they'd win because they were better, and because it was against M*ch*g*n. He hasn't just turned around the results, he's turned around the attitudes of nearly everyone toward that game.

The Cooper years were very unfortunate we all agree. He had some talent that could have blown away both Scum and the Spartys in 95 and 98. Those 2 games were drastic nightmares.
But the one telling flaw in coopers characteristics was you could always see him chewing his nails to the bone. That feature gave you the notion that he was not very sure of what he was doing or if his decisions were good or not.

This may at times may have over flowed into the players mindset and it was contagious. But I think with the Tressel Era it will be much different. The games will always continue to be close but rest assured you will feel better now, especially when we have to go to the Pighouse. Now the shoe is on the other foot for sure.
