The Epitropoulos name is certainly held in high esteem in Ohio State circles, as brothers John and Ernie both played for the Buckeyes over 30 years ago. Is there going to be another Epitropoulos suiting up for the Buckeyes in the near future? John's son, Frank, was offered a scholarship by Ohio State Sunday afternoon. Scout has the story on the offer.

As a defender, Epitropoulos reads quarterbacks and can get an early break on the ball. His instincts are impeccable and his play recognition allows him to get into position often times before the offensive player. He fills hard and closes quickly when the read is run. His ability to get off blocks downfield and slip through the wash allows him to contribute in all phases of a defense. His tackling can be a bit too high at times and there is concern over his ability to bring down some of the bigger backs he?ll see in college. Having said that, he is an effective tackler for the most part and he is certainly skilled enough to roam the secondary for any D1 school. His talents also project well at receiver thanks to his ball skills, length and leaping ability. He could contribute early in his career as a red-zone threat as well as a very solid punt returner.

Columbus, Ohio WR Frank Epitropoulos just let me know that #Syracuse is the latest to offer.
Columbus (Ohio) Upper Arlington receiver/safety Frank Epitropoulos confirmed his 12th offer has come from Louisville. The Cardinals join the likes of Duke, Michigan State, Ohio State, Purdue, Stanford, Syracuse, West Virginia and Wisconsin.
The 6-foot-3, 195-pound Epitropoulos reports no favorites at this point in the process, but the Buckeyes could be tough to beat. His father John played linebacker for Ohio State and he grew up around the Ohio State campus.
As a junior, Epitropoulos had 1,134 all-purpose yards, including 29 receptions for 490 yards and five touchdowns. He also had 55 tackles, three interceptions, one fumble recovery and one defensive score. As a sophomore, Epitropoulos reports clocking a 4.47 second 40-yard dash.
Epitropoulos is looking to make a college decision before his senior season.
