What is that place like? Thought about heading out there Fri or Sat night? What is the age group of most of the patrons there? Do they get cover bands or is the cafe more of a pool hall?

I hear they get good turnouts.

Not sure of the age group...but if you're referring to them as "patrons", you may want to consider movie night at your local nursing home. :p

Nursing home, lol that and high schoolers trying to get beverages. That place was THE hangout when I was a senior (in HS). The few times I've been back I didn't think it had changed.

It's a decent bar, but I think it's overrated.

The only plus is that it's pretty much impossible to not get laid by one of the skanks you'll find there. The obvious drawbacks are potential VD's, waking up next to a leather-faced gutter whore who then says, "Uh...can you drive me home b/c my kid has my car today?", or complete humiliation if you can't get laid.

Its a general meeting place for my HS buddies whenever I make it home - alot of Dublin and UA alums hanging out. Not a bad neighborhood bar IMO.

Edit: I guess that makes it pretty lame in other people's opinion

It's gone through several changes... many years ago it was primarly older folks and high school kids... then it turned into ghetto central (a couple of fights each night), then they "updated" the place and raised the prices (drove the ghetto folks away).

It seems to be a place where folks go for a beer or two after work. Their happy hour was one of the best in town (half price pizza and app's, as well as $1.00 pints of draught beer... and some other deals on bottles and liquor). Those days are gone...

I have no idea what it is like on Fri. or Sat... I usually went on a weekday for a few beers (which would lead to an all nighter every now and then :wink2: )
