Nobody has answered my question about chop blocks yet. I never see anybody get this up in arms over the sanctity of the chop block. It's also a dangerous and illegal play, yet most of the chop block calls I see don't look like they come with an intent to hurt somebody - is usually a mixed up assignment or somebody stumbling that leads to those.

But if it the chop block wasn't a 15-yard penalty, it would be happening quite often; and the high-low technique would be executed more effectively if it were practiced, and there'd be number of severe knee injuries from them.

i haven't seen a replay of the hit yet.

it happened right in front of us, and at full speed, i thought the call was questionable.

the official in back of the endzone (right on top of the play) didn't throw a flag. but the linesman 30 yards away came running up late, and threw the flag from so far away, he barely reached.

i'm just thankful that we played OT going into North EndZone.
That goal post is haunted. Opposing kickers almost always miss going that direction, especially game changing kicks.

Alexis Serna missed 3 PATs going that way (including the game tying one in OT) for Oregon State in '04. Didn't miss another PAT his entire college career.

John Vaughn missed 5 fgs in one game in '05. 4 of them going into that endzone, including the game tying attempt in OT.

Ole Miss had a potential game winner blocked going that way in '06 near the end of regulation, then fumbled the snap on the go ahead kick in OT going that way.

As soon as they lined up for the kick, i knew we had this one in the bag.

P.S. didn't talk to the guy, but there was a feller at the game completely decked out in Buckeye gear. Had an old school vintage looking hat, letter style jacket, #2 jersey.

And if unnecessary roughness or any penalty like it were legal we wouldn't see more of it too?

Sure we would, just like virtually all of the rules. I guess I'm not understanding your point.

That was more likely before Ole Miss lost in the Egg Bowl, probably flipping those two bowls for Ole Miss and LSU.

Oh that's right...good season for those dipfucks that ESPiN all decided were going to contend for a NC this year :slappy:
