No, LSU won but had 2 SEC losses (Florida & Auburn) to Arky's 1 loss. Then Hogs played Florida in last year's SECCG.

It's true that 1-loss W. Virginia and Arizona State would be in a beauty contest with 1-loss tOSU, but I think the lateness of the loss and the BS "we don't want to see them again" factor would work against tOSU. If they lose, we don't need to worry about them.
