I generally agree.

At the same time, Arizona State might not pass us (and this game might influence the voters' view of the Pac-10, just as the Big-10 "weakness" affects us), and the voters might knock us past West Virginia (nobody really likes inbreds) with a good showing. That said, it may become that if we school Michigan, all we need is either the Big 12 champ or LSU tossing one game-- or one game outside our control going our way. . .

I don't know what article you mean, but then root for Texas Tech and Kansas State - Kansas winning the Big 12 isn't needed for tOSU to get to #2. And if the other 3 things happen (LSU, W. Va, and Az St all lose), the Big 12 champion won't matter - that team and tOSU will be BCS #1 and #2.
