Uno the beagle has won the hound group and will be competing for Best in Show at the Westminster Dog show. No beagle has ever won even though they're a popular breed and represented in popular culture by Snoopy, who has the unique characteristic of being beloved by both Americans and the French. I also was personally very attached to Ranger, the beagle who was became part of our family when I was two years old and remained with us until I was in college.
