Are the vBets a problem in this forum?

On Saturday, I think it makes sense to have the games that people are likely to be talking about in this forum.

What do folks think about only placing about 12 in here each week, just the ones that are likely to have a few people posting during the games, and have the less likely ones in a different (new) forum?

I usually do about 25 each week. Under this splitting idea, for this week, I could have placed just these in this forum, which would only roll about half of the page:

Ill-Purd
Ind-Iowa
NC-Clem
Okla St-Mizzou
Aub-LSU
GT-Miami
Md-FSU
Neb-Minn
PSU-NW
Tenn-Bama
USC-ND
Wisc-Sparty

Those wanting to bet on, or discuss, the other games could find them in the other forum.

The downside is that the week's vBets are in two different sub-forums, but they could all be found by clicking on 'Bookie'. Once the games start, you'd have to then click on 'closed' because their status changes after kickoff (or vBet closing time).

I think all forum members should have the ability to create new sub-forums. Just think how easy to read BP would be if we combined the collective organizational powers of the entire member base!!!

The ones that are not in this forum will have zero conversation because no one will go through those steps to find them, no matter which games are put there. Folks will just click on the college football forum.

How long have the vbets been going, anyway? Seems odd that this is suddenly a problem.

I don't think any change needs to happen. All the vbets get posted at once which knocks a handful of current topics off of the front page, but it only happens once a week.

And it's not like hot topics are getting relegated to the 3rd or 4th page.

I like this idea, but I'd like a vBet on how long it takes E!SPN to sue BP for copyright infringement.
