Are Buckeye fans spoiled?

Of course we're spoiled! How could we not be?
And as for losing. Losing I can handle. A perceived lack of effort drives me crazy(Illinois). We saw too much of that under the previous coach. I do not expect that now, but kids will be kids and don't always have focus.

I don't know if I would blame the loss to Ill on lack of effort, I agree with the focus part, though. I think the kids were kind of stunned when they realized that they had to play against the Illini and the refs. Remember, the only true senior leadership we had on that team were an OT, 2 FBs, and JUCO transfer LB, not a lot when facing that kind of adversity. We'll see the benefits of that adversity this year. If those players didn't learn that every play is important, they never will.

I feel we are more spoiled than you guys. 1 National title in football and 2 in basketball in less than 365 days? That's crazy, man. And now I want more and more and more and it's going to be tough. Although I would be more upset if I was an Ohio State fan, seeing as how you have been soooo close but just couldn't get it done. Spoiled? No. I wouldn't say that. Maybe really fortunate. I hope we both face each other for the National Title in football this season. A rematch of sorts.

I'd hate to see how some of our fans react the next time we actually lose 3 games in a season. I have no doubt some would even call for Tressel's head. That's spoiled.

agree, some of those who would be calling for Tressel's head are not really big time :osu:Buckeye fans anyway. Diehard & faithful Buckeye fans that know and understand the game will be alittle more patient with the program if it ever goes through a reloading stage when the experience on the field isn't as good as we Buckeye fans are used to.

I would rather lose 3 NC games than be obligated to root for Joakim Noah.

Without a doubt, Buckeye fans as a whole are spoiled. Hell, I'll admit it - I'm one of them. Think about it this way, in the last 3 years, the Bucks have beaten Michigan 3 times, Texas, Wisconsin, Notre Dame,... They have 3 straight Big Ten championships (one shared). They have a TOTAL of 4 loses, three of which to the National Champion from each corresponding year, and the fourth was to the #3 team in the nation (Penn State). This is a crazy-good stretch of football we're witnessing. But, we're not content, are we? We're "expecting" a third straight NC game this year, and most of us won't look at 2008 as a success unless we win it all.

It doesn't get any more spoiled than that. And I love it!!!

And I could fuck Jessica Alba...
Your assuming that she could stop laughing long enough. :tongue2:

But, really. We are looking at major change in 2009. New starting QB. Beanie probably gone. Major losses on defense. Major turnover. Sure, we are stocked with talent, but many will be very young. That means inconsistency. That means off games. Mistakes. I'm not predicting a 3 loss season, it just could happen easy enough if kids don't mature fast enough.

Sadly, to an extent, generaladm has a point. I've been to a boat load of games over the last decade and it seems when we play a smaller team, the crowd is only there to be seen or "in the scene" as it were. These are the games that supposedly people who never get to attend the big games can actually get tickets for, and the crowd is awful quiet.

When the Bucks are on defense, I should never be able to speak to the person next to me in a tone more suited for the library, but often, it seems that I can.

Last year, I didn't go to the stadium once. I stayed out in the RV lot, tailgated and watched on the dozens of bigscreens people bring with them. I actually had a better time.
