Still fortitudinous
First team:
Adam Morrison, Gonzaga, junior
J.J. Redick, Duke, senior
Randy Foye, Villanova, senior
Shelden Williams, Duke, senior
Brandon Roy, Washington, senior
Second team:
Dee Brown, Illinois, senior
Rodney Carney, Memphis, senior
Rudy Gay, Connecticut, sophomore
P.J. Tucker, Texas, junior
Leon Powe, California, sophomore
Third team:
Craig Smith, Boston College, senior
Glen Davis, LSU, sophomore
Tyler Hansbrough, North Carolina, freshman
Nick Fazekas, Nevada, junior
Allan Ray, Villanova, senior

JJ Redick could be the most overrated player I've ever seen.

How is the all time scoring leader in the ACC overrated.

Ever see what happens when Redick is forced to create his own shot as he was against LSU? He shoots 3 for 18, cries at the refs the whole game, and his team loses. Where is he when his team needs him? In 4 losses, he went 12 for 24, 10 for 28, 3 for 18, and 5 for 21. And what about being an all-around player? He averages 2 rebounds per game and 2.8 assists. I guess you're right--he's not overrated at all. :roll1: . IMO if you are even in the discussion regarding national player of the year, you should be able to do more than score.

The ACC's all-time leading scorer is overrated? I'd say he is a heck of a college basketball player.

This argument is ridiculously misleading. The only reason Redick's the all-time ACC leading scorer is b/c he wasn't good enough to jump to the NBA early unlike his many predecessors. Under your logic, Redick's a better basketball player than Jordan b/c they both played in the ACC and Redick scored more career points. Please.

When is the last tiime there were four seniors who made first team AA? I like to see it.

JJ Redick could be the most overrated player I've ever seen.

I would agree he is not the athlete of Rudy Gay or Allan Ray. But this is about how well they perform in the college game, and JJ was marvelous.

I think that any team that has two 1st Team AAs probably shouldn't have lost a game this year. At the very least, one of the two should have been on the 2nd or 3rd Teams at best. It's very odd that a team with two 1st Teamers and a cast full of former High School AAs, including the top PG recruit and top big man recruit in the entire country from last year lost to a revamped UNC team and an FSU team that missed the dance.

What did Dee Brown do so great to be awarded All America status this year?

He was the leading vote-getter among the 2nd-teamers, meaning he was very close to being a 1st team AA. Very interesting. Butler looked pretty good when matched up against him.

I think, all in all, this was a down year for individual talent in college basketball. Should be better next year.

Really? I thought he was the all-time leading scorer because he made a ton of jumpshots...my mistake. I should have known that any Joe Schmo can step on the court and make all of those. Create his own shot? Why? He is a jumpshooter that works off of screens. Do you have to be a slasher to be a good ballplayer? Comparing Jordan to anyone is ridiculously unfair. The greatest ballplayer of all-time makes most pale in comparison. The conversation is about JJ Redick being overrated...not if he is the greatest to ever play the game. If you would not take JJ on your team, you are seriously misguided.

Please.

12/24=50%
10/28=36%
not god awful games.

the other two show his importance to his team.
his he overrated, yes. is he hyped to be the greatest thing since slice bread, yes. is a helluva college player, yes. is he a "complete" player, no. is morrison, no. would i want jj on my team, yes. does he complain, yes. does duke get more calls than anyother team, id say so.

bottom line: anyone is lieing who says they wouldnt want him.

the funny thing about dee brown his numbers are basically the same as last year, yet has a lot less talent around him. no one was complaining last year. id take dee brown on my team too.
