as pathetic as this whole "controversy" is.......and as pathetic as everybody who bitches and moans when e!spn does their thing......this is still pretty irresponsible journalism.Already on ESPiNs homepage... and imagine that look who wrote the article.

Florida has a date with history Monday night. But the team standing in the way of back-to-back titles isn't overly impressed, writes Gene Wojciechowski. Story | Preview | More

Steve19;801449; said:I don't think that this is anything at the end of the day. Lewis didn't say they were crap and he didn't disrespect them and Florida know that.
But the real point is this: who cares? Neither team will play harder or gain some motivational advantage. In fact, I am rather pleased that Ohio State aren't saying, "uh-oh, they whooped us, let's hope we can keep this from being embarrassing."
Who cares? Let's just see what happens tonight.
One more thing. I think we have a good chance to win it all, but if we are getting beat, let's keep the negative viewpoints out of the game thread. Florida is a tough team and we will need a lot of luck tonight to win. Ohio State is a tough team and Florida will need a lot of luck to win. Players on neither team are perfect and there is no reason to disrespect ours. This is the best finish we've had in more than a generation already.
Let's be proud of our Buckeyes and ignore anyone who says otherwise.

Point he's making is we weren't disrespected by noahzincfinger;801474; said:Stupid OSU fans.
I think you could make that very same statement about sports fans, probably especially college sports fans, in general. It's nothing unique to OSU.
Agreed. Couldn't believe people were rooting for UCLA because they DIDNT want flordia (for the fear of getting beat by them again) fuck that, I was rooting for UF saturday.Jeffcat;801458; said:agreed....ive heard numerous reports of people claiming they would never enter florida wearing osu clothing again if we just so happened to lose......thats just poor pride for your program right there and those people are a disgrace to it. i think our chances are much better then what people and the media are giving us. win or lose its the first time we have reached the national championship game since the 60s so its a great accomplishment nonetheless and ill wear my osu colors anywhere, anyplace, anytime regardless of the result.
