I'm considering applying for a position in Granville, OH, but I know little about the community. Any comments any BPers have regarding the town would be appreciated.

Nice area, I live 10 miles away from Granville. The nearest town is Newark, which there isnt a whole lot to do there. But the good news is Granville is only 25 minutes from Columbus or so, up 161 so you are never too far from something to do.

Well I know that Denison college is there. I used to have a golf membership at the Granville Golf Course, and that was the only reason I was in the city ever. If you decide to go there and like golfing, I definitely recommend it...good deal on memberships, at least 8 years ago. The city overall is very lovely.

Granville was in my region when I was a Field Rep with Nielsen Media. It is a beautiful town, if you can take the taxes. Nice little downtown with very nice older and newer houses. It is only a couple of minutes from Newark, so you're not forced to shop only in Granville, and ,like osubartender said, it's only 20 minutes from Easton. Overall, I really liked the town, and if I had stayed in the Columbus area, I would've considered moving there myself. I didn't get the specifics about how high the taxes are, but if the people there made a point of telling me about them, then I I would guess that they are higher than surrounding areas.
