Anyone know of any free cd burning software? I'm switching over to WIN XP and it said

my old software - easy cd creator 4 - wouldn't work on XP. Okay. Not a huge issue, but is there anything free that I CAN use if I do the switch? The new Easy Cd Creator is 80 bills.... I don't use it enough to pay that and am buying a new computer next year anyway.....

are you just making music cds? B/c there are a lot of music programs, like iTunes, which will let you burn CDs from your music. I use nero, so I'm no expert, but I know that avenue works.

There are a ton of free ones. Course it all depends on how you define "free". Free can mean, steal the ones that cost money by downloading the evaluation, and cracking it. Free can mean ones that are really free

Go to http://www.snapfiles.com and look under freeware.

I got the latest version of Nero through bit torrent. Works great. I have yet to have a burner that didn't come with software.

You can burn cds using Windows Media player.. Works pretty good too.

I've had pretty good luck with CDBurnerXP. It's free and legal, works pretty well with music cds. I haven't tried to burn any data cds with it yet.
