anyone from live in md or virginia?

ive lived in ohio my entire life. grew up in a small town in south eastern ohio, spent some time in dayton and have lived in cincinnati for the past 17 years.

im 38, unmarried, almost completely out of house projects. my company is based in chantilly virginia which is part of what got me thinking about that specific area. though i can't say the idea of finding a new job is overly concerning. so my questions are thus:

what is the chantilly area and virginia like in general? im a small town guy and would prefer to live in a non city environment. i don't mind being close to the city, just don't want to live in it :p. what is the general opinion of the people who live there? just looking for a basic idea of perceptions, views, lifestyles and general thoughts on the area. thanks in advance for any input! :)

Have you ever driven rush hour through Chicago, Atlanta, Miami? If not, then you are in for a real treat if you think Cinci and surrounding areas are bad since they don't hold a candle to the aforementioned, and DC is worse then those by a large margin.
