Guys, I really think USC will win this one pretty easily. They'll win by double digits.

If Texas wins and shows that they are the best team in the country...and if Penn State loses to Florida State...then I'd say it is very likely that at 10-2, Ohio State would finish #2 in the country. The more Texas wins by, and the more we win by, will obviously decide how close it is.
As good as the USC offense is, and as good of a defensive gameplanner as Carroll is, Texas will be playing like they have nothing to lose. This is the game that Texas has a chance to prove to the nation that they truly are an elite program. I don't think VY will let them lose.Guys, I really think USC will win this one pretty easily. 04 USC almost lost to stanford, 02 OSU almost lost to basically everyone... this sort of thing happens.Texas' coach is a choke artist unparalleled in recent history. no one does less with more. they nearly lost to scUM lost year - a scUM team that wasn't good. they nearly lost to a & m this year - a really bad a & m team. they've played no one ALL year except us.
Mack Brown's a choke artist, yet, he brought his team into Ohio Stadium under the lights and beat us. Losing to a choke artist "unparalleled in recent history" and all, what exactly does that say about our beloved Buckeyes?we now what you're smoking in your avatar!

not going to be close. their defense has not seen the speed of an offense like USC anywhere this year. they're going down and I think they may go down enough to help us or Penn State move up.
2004 - USC (had not won since 1972)

Like I said...performance will matter. Texas will have to do more than win, they will have to show that they are definitely the better team...which likely will mean winning easily. Ohio State will need to at the same time, show that they are A LOT better than Notre Dame. Like I said...the scores will matter. I don't think it's likely to happen. My guess is we will beat Notre Dame, but still be #4.MililaniBuckeye said:Why would a 2-loss Ohio State jump over a 1-loss USC coming off a 34-game win streak? Won't happen.
USC won the UPI Coaches NC in 1974 and in 1978.
Articles writen by the AP only look at the AP championships, which may be where the 1972 came from, but everybody counts the Coaches poll as real NC's.
I thought I'd save methomps the trouble.![]()

he's a figgie away from losing in the shoe on a night we didn't play that well. he got very very lucky catching us early in the season. bring TU here now and a disaster of biblical proportion would occur to the Whiny Orange.
kind of like will happen to them in the Rose Bowl...
