Any news of post-game shenanigans?

Bob Saccamano

These pretzels are making me thirsty.
Neither cheeky or fun?

Haven't heard any news of rioting, burning couches, or flipped cars. Hopefully the Buckeye fanbase is acting mature and staying out of trouble!

Did anyone witness first hand or hear about any felonious actions in Columbus?

Go Bucks!:osu:

If true, that's great to hear. I feel bad for students arrested for underage drinking (not just because its a stupid law). The university is saying that you are automatically suspended just for being arrested, even for an offense that was/is committed by 90% of freshman and sophomores on campus.

I have seen a few articles during the day (e.g., CNNSSI) saying that Buckeye fans were very well behaved and were getting a bum rap.

On the other hand, I also have seen reports that TSUN supporters were driving over curbs in their RVs to get out of the campus area quickly.

Unofficially, it appears that might have been one that Voyd was stowing away in to hide from the TSUN fans, but that is not confirmed :slappy:

I seen news last night and alot of tickets for drinking...............
I seen one car flipped over on News damm i'd hate if that was mine or maybe it was a insurance thing I could almost lay money on that. A couple Arson arrests.
but Columbus was calm , cool, and we showed we are the best Damm Fans In Da Land

The wind deflector on my truck was torn off and scattered in pieces across the street, and the front bumper is now canted at a 30 degree angle after someone tried to tear it off as well. I guess my truck's bumper was too much trouble, so they proceeded down the street where a sentra's bumper is currently being held on by a bungie cord. I think there's 2 seperate sets of fans: Buckeye Nation, and Drunken Hooligan Nation, both based in Columbus, OH.

All in all, nothing crazy happened. The parking ban was annoying but I suppose it prevented a lot of property damage. When we were walking back to my apartment (after rushing the field :banger: ) there were scores of people already wasted out of their minds, which made us wonder if all the people who sold their tickets or who came to Columbus to the see the game w/o tickets got sloshed during or immediately after the game ended. The one thing the police did that I thought was really helpful was putting additional street lamps on the side streets directly off campus (noteably Indianola and Pearl). Those streets aren't lit well at all and the street lamps made them bright as day. Certainly helped make people feel safer when walking around campus and probably prevented a lot of crimes.

Sorry to hear what happened to your truck, Kueller. I agree 100% with your conclusion. A good portion of revelers come to Columbus just to witness the craziness, in turn adding to the intensity.

Who were probably best friends before the game....and will be again once they sober up. lol

They were from two different tailgates. Apparently they had been arguing with each other all day about space, music, and whatever else they could come up with while continuing to get drunk all day. At the end of the game one started playing his tunes too loud, the other took offense and the rest is history.

I was actually right down the street when that one car was tipped over...It was kinda crazy, but the cops were on it in a heartbeat as they were about 3 or 4 cars deep per block...

Also saw some people try to light a dumpster on fire, but they only got it smoking a little...

Overall it was a great day and there wasnt very much damage.

I also agree with Rock that the parking ban, was probably the smartest thing the university could of done...

Walking back to the RV lot, I passed a chick on the phone in the AG lot. Donal and I heard her say "I want to set something on fire but I can't find my lighter". We started laughing at her, and she realized someone heard her. She felt really stupid.
