Any BPers In Deutschland?

cincibuck

You kids stay off my lawn!
Just arrived at Ramstein and will spend the next day in K-town area. Off to Berlin on Friday for 4 days, then Prague and Dresden before heading back to Ramstein. Any soldiers or fly boys in the area, let me know where you go to tip a stein, the first beer is on me.

Dammit! That's absolute BS! I just missed you by a little bit. I just left Baumholder about 4 months ago. Try Big Emma's in Rammstien. I bet you won't eat it all. The best I had was the Hotel Westrich up in Baumholder, a couple of pilsners and some schnitzle holstien will put a smile on you. If you're looking to travel a bit Idar Oberstien has a church in the side of a mountain thats cool to check out.

The Roman ruins in Trier are great. Also the Cathedral of Trier is cool to check out. They are supposed to have the robe of Jesus. Unfortunately you won't get to see it if you go. They only display it about once a decade and they just displayed it about 6 months ago.

Also keep in mind, you will be near German wine country. I'm not much of a wine person but my friends who were loved it.

I wish we could have hooked up. It's a fantastic area. They are very friendly to Americans. Have fun and be safe.

Well, shit, guys. Would have loved to have gotten our Mark May together and tossed back a couple of brews. Left Ramstein this AM and a now enjoying a spring night in Berlin.

Saw much of Trier, the Ardennes and Moselle Valley last year when my hop took me to Spangdahlem. Spent a week between Heidelberg, Strasbourg and Saarbruken.

This year its Berlin, Prague and dresden befor heading back to either Ramstein or Spandahlem for a few days before heading home.

The museum is in two locations and is about the best I've ever been to. The second location in Speyer also has a unesco church that is gorgeous. I think 7 holy roman emperor's are entombed in the crypt.

There is a restraunt right by the church that has outstanding food and beer.
