Another wireless question

I'm staying a my future mother-in-law's house, and she has a secure wireless connection. I tried to log on to her connection by typing in the network (WEP) key, but it says that I have limited or no connectivity and will not log me in. Does anyone know how I can remedy this?

It is possible that they have the router set up to filter by mac address as well as the wep key. Should be a setting in the router for this, and you can add the mac address of your laptop to it.
