Andre Ware is a jackwipe...and here's why

It pisses me off when people use their time on national television to make the Buckeyes look worse. That's what he did. It was completely unnecessary for him to keep going on and on about it.

perhaps Andre forgot that Pryor is a freshman and JT was letting him throw the ball, maybe to help him develop as a player? and maybe, just maybe, JT called a run on the last play so that Boom could get another rep, just to help him develop?

Now that is just crazy talk....why would a coach want to take advantage of a live game situation to work on developing his young players.....we all know that there is nothing like non contact drills in practice to simulate the speed of a live game....

From his post-game comments, JT said he had Boom run the ball on the last play since it was 4th down.

I could care less about his comments, but his lack of prep was obvious. He also went on about Pryor graduating early and coming to school in January to go through spring ball and getting all the extra reps, then immediatly followed that up with he led his basketball team to the state championships in the spring.

Amazing how the dip[censored] wouldn't let the "running up the score" thing go on Saturday. Even for an ESPN announcer, it was not only over-the-top, but I had no idea why he was dwelling on it so much. So, I decided to look back at his historic and unprecedented willingness to take a knee in the first half to avoid embarassing an opponent. When he won the Heisman in 1989, highlights include:

Houston 69, UNLV 0
Houston 65, Temple 7
Houston 66, Baylor 10
Houston 95, SMU 21
Houston 55, TCU 10
Houston 47, Texas 9
Houston 64, Rice 0

Hell, why not toss in the 60-0, 66-15, and the all-wonderful 82-28 scores from his junior season too. Obviously, embarassing his opponents, runnnig up the score, running up his own stats, or feeding his own overblown ego not only never eneted his mind, but he was determined to do everything in his power to stop it. Not.

I can tell Andre got under your skin. This was simmering for a couple of days, since you posted this in the game thread during the 4th quarter:

I guess Andre Ware is forgetting getting a cheap Heisman running the score up against patsys at Houston. They scored what was it...95 one game? Think he ran to the coach and said "Hey, coach, let's take a knee?" [censored] you, assclown. You're the most undeserving Heisman winner ever, and you got ot by running up the [censored]ing score.

But you get props for knowing the 95 point thing off the top of your head.

Busted, to an extent. I'm much calmer now, I just was busy Sunday and didn't have time to look up the scores I knew he had run up. I remember the 95 pretty well though, because I seem to remember they were trying like hell to score 100, but I guess I could be misremembering. It's the hypocrisy that really frosted my corn flakes...if it had been Spielman or Blackledge or some of the other players, I would have been mildly annoyed, but thought much less of it.

Fun little article about that game. It seems Klingler came in after they were already up by about 40 and he threw 4 TDs himself. Yeah, throwing it deep against a team in their first year after the death penalty is a gentleman's thing to do.

And there goes Boom Herron for a touchdown from 16-yards out. That was a fantastic run. Of course, we should have taken a knee rather than getting Herron reps and our offense confidence. Because, after all, that's what Andre Ware would have done. Of course, Ware saying he would have taken a knee in that situation would be like you chomping on a steak while you've got a half-eaten rabbit on your other fork, all the while telling people, "Remember, go Vegan!"
