Yes it is that big a deal. He is posting a pic of an OSU player on an OSU board that is intended as a message of ridicule towards Olivea as well as OSU fans. Tell me what I am missing? If the jackass wants to bet, let him bet something personal to him that doesn't impact others.

Sears - you are correct in that we shouldn't be trashing what other folks choose to post. If you are into gaming, ladies, beer, the end of the world... that is all the call of the poster and more power to them.

But 20+ pages of guessing a number? That is just too choice. (The real shame is that I no longer post over there and I am pretty sure I know what the number is. )

As for losing a bet - to begin with I don't understand the idea of a bet where if an individual loses everyone on the board has to suffer the consequences. I am sure it looks especially nice to visiting posters that we mock our own team. I hope the Planet can adopt an unwritten rule that nobody should ever change their signature, avatar, or whatever else to anything that demeans the very program whose support brings us together on this site.

Further, were I ever to lose such a bet I hope I would have the decency to post once acknowledging my loss in good faith - then again in 30 days. This guy has become a posting fool.

All that said absolutely no ill will intended towards any of my friends on Bucknuts and especially in the Retard Room. Lots of fun goes on over there and I agree that nobody needs to read any of it if they don't wish. (Obviously I still enjoy checking it out from time to time.) My decision not to participate on Bucknuts has nothing to do with the content of posts on that board in particular.

I suppose I do not appreciate seeing OSU players being used as a subject of ridicule on account of some stupid bet, especially when the bet did not involve that player or OSU football. I am especially mad in this instance because this player's mother and family just happens to be a strong source of emotional support for Chris Perry's mom, and it is some meatchicken fan who somehow finds humor in dipicting this particular player in that manner. Maybe Mrs. Olivea ought to tell Perry's mom to call BlueBalls next time she is feeling down in the dumps. Other than that, I can't think of why I would be up in arms.
