The same Ernie Johnson that said that Captain Intangibles' injury "transcends the series?"

The second base umpire made a heroic call at a critical time in a hostile environment full of yuppies and guidos that wanted to have a ceremonial fist pump/needle-sharing orgy around his severed corpse. He should be commended like that guy who landed the plane in the Hudson.

My only guess is they assumed Verlander would out duel CC so they tried to get a more favorable matchup? But yeah even if your best isn't as good as their best you have to throw him there. Either that or CC is downright terrible on 3 days rest.

Right on cue...another 2 run homer, 6-0 Kitties. Yeah, they have some issues to address in the offseason and once Jeter went down they were toast.

I wouldn't mind ARod to the Pirates as long as the Yankees pick up 90% of his salary. Sure, it's an exaggeration but what ultimately happens with him might not be that much different. Can't see him back in the Bronx.

I'd take ARod in Baltimore for a couple seasons at 3rd base. Move Machado to SS and JJ Hardy to Free Agency like he should be....That way Mark Reynolds can just play first base.....

that won't happen either.
