Just what I was thinking. The fact that Leon Hall was also a finalist (Reggie Nelson was the other one) may have helped. :tongue2:
You have to add up Hall & Ross to get a DB in Nelson's neighborhood... yet Nelson finished third :roll1:

They don't even know what year they're having their banquet. :tongue2:

I doubt we'll see our Texas friends today, but if any of you read this, answer me a question. Obviously you have watched much more Texas football than I have this year, but here's my question.....

In the Texas Ohio State game, McCoy, while obvioulsy a young QB, held up pretty well and played a pretty good game, as I recall. Saw the A&M game and now early in the Alamo Bowl, it seems to me that McCoy is getting worse. True? Or am I just being too hard on him?

He got hit hard on a goal-line sneak early in the Kansas State game, and sat out the rest of the game. They said that he did NOT suffer a concussion, but he wasn't the same in the aTm game. He got a pinched nerve at the end of that game, on a different play that the blatant cheap shot he was given by an aTm player following an interception.

He did look awfully good today on the play where he scrambled left, directed the receiver up the sideline, and then squared his shoulders and delivered the ball over the DB.

I can't believe Iowa's running game is gashing all those all-american LB's of Texas. I am sitting here watching this game and I swear Texas has gotten worse. If they would have played us like this we would have won by 30.

I've got to give Tate some props though. He is as focused as I've seem him, and he is sharp right now. Like BB said earlier, Texas needs an attitude adjustment or this game is going to get out of hand.
