Why did Clemson Fan start this thread in the Buckeye Football subforum instead of the College Football subforum?

Not as easy to navigate as the ESPN boards?

"Alabama has 9 wins vs ranked teams this season, most ever in the AP poll era." - eSECpn

Well, when half of your conference is ranked in preseason, it helps. For example:

Ole Miss was ranked 19th when they played Bama. The Rebels lost 7 games.

Arkansas came in ranked 16th when they met. The Hogs lost 6 games.

Texas A&M were ranked 6th when they played. The Aggies ended up with 5 losses.

Auburn was 13th in the poll when they played. War Eagle ended up with 5 losses.

Tennessee was 9th; ended up with 4 losses.

LSU was 13th, lost 4 games.

Another example of "ranked at the time" being a virtually meaningless measure of anything. :roll1:
