Na’eem Offord switches visit plans
For the second time this fall, five-star OSU cornerback commit Na’eem Offord has moved around his visit plans. Per 247Sports, Offord will no longer visit for the Buckeyes’ game against Nebraska this weekend and will instead return to campus for the Nov. 30 contest against Michigan.Offord had originally planned to visit Columbus for the Iowa game before moving the visit to the Nebraska contest, then moved that trip to late November. Assuming Offord shows up for the Michigan game this all may be much ado about nothing, but it’s hard not to raise at least a slight eyebrow considering Offord has been heavily pursued by Oregon and Auburn and has yet to make a gameday visit to OSU this season.
The Buckeyes will be in a battle until National Signing Day to retain Offord’s commitment, and OSU won’t stop trying to convince him Columbus is the best place for his development until the end.

Personal opinion - I would rather have him here for The Game right before early NLOID. Get that last impression during the biggest rivalry in all of sports right on the eve of his decision. Other factors are involved of course, but that should help in keeping him onboard.

Too soon old, too late smart
So the NCAA basically said with their transfer provision, that NIL's can be broken (by the recruit) at anytime. Now, they're eliminating NILs entirely. So what, the school has to get a dorm room set aside, etc and wait to see if the recruit shows up? And even then, the recruit could bolt (a la Sayin) to another school? The pendulum has swung from 'protecting the school' very much toward 'protecting the recruit'. Hopefully, cooler heads prevail and a middle can be reached (hopefully in my lifetime).

Offord fits the bill as a playmaker in the secondary. Offord is long at 6-foot-1 and 180 pounds, and his ability to accelerate in a hurry and seamlessly break on the football is evident in coverage. The five-star prospect is dynamic in the defensive backfield and also on special teams, where he's returned multiple punts for touchdowns as a senior.
He has the ability to smother receivers and mirror routes. He has superb anticipation and suddenness, and has shined as a senior.

Auburn flipping a corner means Na'eem Offord will likely stay with the Ohio State football team
Auburn has flipped four-star cornerback Shamar Arnoux from USC. That gives the Tigers four corners for this class. That's a full room now. It makes it much more likely that Offord stays with his commitment to the Ohio State Buckeyes. He still wants playing time.
While Offord is heading to Florida for a visit, Ohio State football fans shouldn't worry about that. It looks like the Gators are just paying a bunch of recruits to make a visit to Gainesville. Offord isn't the only high-level prospect to be visiting for that LSU game.
It seems much more likely now that the Buckeyes will hold onto both five-star corners for this cycle. That's great news as we creep closer to the early signing period. Now, Ohio State just has to keep other recruits from flipping their commitments. There aren't a lot of other guys to worry about in that department though.

Na’eem Offord visiting Florida this weekend
Ohio State continues to fight off other teams trying to poach five-star 2025 cornerback commit Na’eem Offord. For the past few months, Auburn and Oregon have been the main challengers for the Alabama product.But a new challenger has entered the ring, as Offord plans to visit Florida this weekend for the Gators’ game against LSU. Florida isn’t perceived as big of a threat for Offord compared to the other schools, but a visit does show some interest nonetheless.
Ohio State still hopes to get Offord back on campus for the Buckeyes’ game against Michigan on Nov. 30. Either way, the Buckeyes will continue to fight to maintain Offord’s commitment through National Signing Day on Dec. 4.
