Wow.. I hope the Zippers get to keep them.. of the hundreds of games I have watched in the bowl... there have been a gazillion curses from fans because of those light poles... pretty sure VG even bitched about 'em on his website for years...

And I completely understand the sound of an uncle 3 years older.. only thing a bit weirder is my situation... I'm younger than 3 of my neices and nephews.. and they always call me Uncle...
They were rented lights that ran on a generator. They aren't staying.
I agree about those lights at the bowl. The Rubber Bowl is such a piece of shit.
The field is nice, but the bowl itself sucks.

Make sure those nieces of yours never call you daddy

hmmm.. there were so many dropped balls tonight .. and easy ones... I just wonder if the placement and angle of those rented lights could have presented problems for the receivers.. especially around the goal lines...

I'm sorry, but that's pretty fucked up. I'd be God Damned if I called someone younger than me "Uncle" or "Aunt". When I was active duty, the only reason I called officers younger than me "Sir" or "Ma'am" was: 1.) They were my superiors by law, and 2.) Only if I truly respected them professionally and personally, else I referred to them by their military rank.

Terrific game. I had heard of Charlie Frye but never seen him play--amazing considering I have Gameplan (Akron just doesn't make the priority game list). I think scouts will be impressed with the poise he showed to bring his team back. How awful did Marshall look watching Akron get an onside kick? They didn't even move.

I preferred the rank over Sir or Ma'am. It sucked having show respect to someone that I felt was incompetent. The troops that come out calling NCOs Sir or Ma'am crack me up.
