In essence, he was attracted to the game of football as a youngster the same way many high school football players were drawn to the sport – through watching an older brother compete.

But the rest of his story of growing up in love with football is far from typical.

“Actually, I was born in Riverside, California but my dad is military, so we moved to Germany. And so, I was actually raised in Europe,” Harris said. “Over there, I actually wasn’t allowed to play football. So, I grew up wanting to play it because my oldest brother was a star running back in high school (in Germany).

“I used to go to all his games and watch him. And I used to be on the sidelines playing and watching my brother, just trying to do everything he did. So, I definitely grew up loving football but wasn’t able to play it because me being in Germany, they didn’t have it for my age.”

At around nine-years-old, Harris finally hit the football field to compete.

His family relocated to Columbus, Georgia.

“Ever since then, I just kept going with it,” Harris said. “If there’s someone who influenced me to play football it’s definitely my older brother Daniel Harris. I used to watch him and wanted to play football just like him. So, he definitely played a big role in me playing football.”

OSU is BIA,” Harris told Eleven Warriors. “I love the culture, the family atmosphere and I’ve watched them for a long time. I was shocked. I love this one big time.”

I’m VERY VERY VERY BLESSED To Receive a(n) Offer From THE OHIO STATE UNIVERSITY

Blessed To Receive a(n) Offer From Texas A&M

I’m Beyond Blessed & Honored To Receive a(n) Offer From THE FLORIDA STATE UNIVERSITY

I’m Beyond Blessed & Honored To Receive a(n) Offer From THE LOUISIANA STATE UNIVERSITY

Just sayin': Based on above, I have to believe he is seriously considering Ohio State. I guess it is way early in the 2023 recruiting process, but I find it surprising that Alabama and Clemson haven't offered.
