The text ad, yeah, right now it's after the first post on each page. Trying to figure out what the lowest-impact method of delivery is. I could have it every X posts, or after the Yth, Zth, etc. My first thought is that an 'expected' location is less intrusive, but I might play with it a bit.

My 2 cents would be putting the text ad between the forum title and first post of a page. If that is too close to the banner at the top, then put is after the 5th post since 10 posts per page is default. Don't put it at the bottom or no one will see it.

I thought 25 was default.

... and 15 is the default. I had mine on 30 at one time but it gets confusing when posters start referring to Page X for a reference instead of the post number.

As for the ads, very non-intrusive... I like that they are static and not flashy. They get my seal of approval (not that it means much).

Also, I think that Clarity has showed his integrity by keeping this "issue" in the eyes of the BP public and asking the members for input. Most other people would just do whatever they want without asking their membership. I for one (and I know many others will agree) am thankful for Clarity's openness with this site and its vision. As long as the ads will benefit BP and offset some of Clarity's bills I'm all for them. [/kiss-up]

I don't like that they're on every page, but it's hard to do every other or something since everyone has a different number of posts displayed.

What I may do is limit it to being after the 5th post in a thread, and then again after the last post. But that will look really stupid when there are 6 posts, lol.

So I don't know. Maybe just after the 5th, but I'm obliged to make sure it's loading enough at the same time. Actually, that should be a non-issue with the temporary switch to ads showing for everyone, so just after the 5th/1 time per thread display will probably be fine. Going to try that now and see how she goes.
