"Acquired" a copy of Windows Vista

Alright, I'm getting a copy of Vista Home Premium from the school. Might just do a triple-boot on my Macbook and test it out before putting it on my HTPC, that way we can get a battle-royale going on. Vista won't work in Parallels very well just yet which sucks cause I've been using XP on it and it kicks ass.

A reason I didn't get an IPOD was because I wanted to be able to use all of the songs I already have downloaded and not have to pay for downloads.

Limewire all the way for me.

With an iPod you can use all of the songs you have already downloaded.
And you can still download with limewire if you wish, the iPOD/iTUNES doesnt care where you get the songs from.
You just import the songs into your iTUNES playlist then download them to your iPod.

When I was shopping for an MP3 player Best Buy said that only the high $$ IPOD with the biggest video screen could play any mp3, they said the smaller GB IPODS played only Itunes songs.

i may be wrong, but i think that you were given bad info. as long as the appropriate music file is uploaded to itunes, you may download it into your ipod, regardless of the type of ipod.

No kidding. If you are delaying upgrading a computer based upon the fact that your prescious Itunes software won't work...:shake:
question... will the songs currently on an ipod upload into, say, a new itunes program? i attempted to update my itunes version, and the process of updating wiped out my library... which @#%!*&$ sucks! granted, i'm sure that i can find out the answer elsewhere, but i thought i'd ask here first.

thanks.

if you're interested, i may be willing to give to you my virtually unused creative zen. i got an ipod shortly after i received the zen and haven't used the zen at all, except for putting a few shins songs on it. the problem is that i'm not sure where it is exactly, and i can't recall if i have all of the manuals. maybe i do. it's a couple years old, but it should still be in new condition.

let me know. no biggie.

Ended up getting an RCA MP3 player which was much more reasonably priced than the Ipods but thanks for the offer.
