ABC/ESPN to Share Broadcasters

Last night with Stanford about to take the lead late in the game, Fouts and Jackson were both terrible in regards to the game clock situation.

Stanford has a second and goal on the 4 yard line, down 30-24, with a minute 50 remaining, and Fouts says that ND 'did Stanford a favor' by calling time out. Well, Dan, I guess that Stanford, since they were out of timeouts, would have a tough time getting off 3 plays in 110 seconds!

Then Stanford scores on the next play, and with about 1:45 left, and ND with 2 timeouts left, Keith says 'for the win!' when the guy kicks the XP to put them up 31-30. Try 'for the lead', Keith.

ND then predictably drove for the game-winning score, using less than 1 minute and neither of their timeouts.

Both Fouts and Jackson acted like that was completely unthinkable when Stanford was scoring to take the lead. I liked Keith for decades, but he should have stayed retired. Fouts has always been mediocre.

I personally will never forgive Fouts & Jackson for butchering our National Title game. It was one of the greatest games in CFB history, with a piss poor (and bias) announcing job.

Jackson's fallacies are forgivable. He's been the voice of CFB for 30 years, and is old. You can't expect him to be on point with all the names & details. That's understandable. But, if you're going to have him in the booth, you must put a solid analyst beside him. And Fouts is far from that.

Not to mention the fact that neither guy does any game other than the Pac 10 all season.

I have hated ESPN GameDay even more this year because they changed the "theme" song to GameDay. I liked the old one(Bubba Sparxx), especially the one they did for the OSU-scUM game a couple years ago.

Now they got two gay dudes and a BLACK cowboy singing. I mean I have never in my life seen a black cowboy singing country music before. And to make matters worse, his name is Troy.
