No, what actually happens is:
Mike posts almost anything, Jax shows up.
Mike posts again, Jax shows up again.
Mike has had times where he's needed to reel it in. The heat thread certainly comes to mind.
If he crosses the line, he'll be hit with an infraction quite quickly. He doesn't have nearly as much leeway as you're trying to sell.
But that's beside the main point:
If he's really that much of an attention whore and nuisance, then dumping gasoline on the fire almost every time he posts is a pretty stupid thing to do, isn't it?

To finish with your adopted kid analogy, one of the parents must really like the kid because any other guest that was in the middle of this many trainwrecks would have been gone a long time ago.
