Today is a sad day for me. After spending the last 10 years in Columbus, nine of which have been at Ohio State either as a student or employee, I am leaving this wonderful university and city. Today is my last day on campus. While it is true that I will be back for football games and to visit friends, I don't think it will ever feel quite the same.

The reason I am leaving is because I recently accepted a new position at Cleveland State, which I start on September 7. While I could not be more thrilled and excited about starting a new chapter in my life with my fiancee in Northeast Ohio, I feel that I am leaving a huge part of my life behind.

For all those alumni who have already moved away from OSU, do you have any advice as to how I should cope with this one void in my life?

hit the bottle. hard.

Seriously though, just stay in touch with your OSU family and you'll never feel that far from campus. I've got a tight-knit group of friends from OSU living in Colorado and we always get together at least once per month, more in the autumn, obviously. :)

I was going to say something concerning Cleveland but I just remembered.......I don't wish to give that Jackass Tibor any more ammunition.

Good luck Grad. Go to little Italy and eat. There are quite a few good places.
Also, run over to Rocky River and eat at Max's deli. That place is the best!

It ain't easy, bein' cheesy.
That's tough, but at least you'll be close and you should still be surrounded by Buckeye fans.

I've moved several times since college and have been in Big Ten "enemy territory" the entire time- Iowa, Michigan, and now Delaware (which is close enough to Penn State).

Go back as often as you can, even if it's just to wander around or visit some favorite places on a weekend afternoon.

And congrats on the new job, by the way. Cleveland's a pretty cool place, too.
