A rivalry losing steam

For my 500th post,

I wanted to point out something very interesting.

Next week, the Iron Bowl is being played, but who's paying attention?

They have a lot of losses heading into this game, including Alabama losing to LOUISIANA-MONROE???

Kansas/Missouri and Virginia/Virginia Tech play for BCS rights, while the Iron Bowl is basically for the right to play in the Independence Bowl??

We are SO lucky to revel in the best rivalry in college football.

Well, it says that Alabama is just so thoroughly exhausted and beaten up from having to play SEC teams week in and week out that they needed a week off to recover. But next week, if they beat Auburn (or lose to Auburn in a good game), all will be forgotten.

Says the same thing as Appy state scoring so many more points on the Skunkbears than Ohio State did at the bighouse this year.....

....IOW, not one damn thing of any definitive substance, other than college football is always some weird shit, and 2007 weirder than most. Bama is still not back from its depth depleting probation, and Ohio State would crush the Fighting Banjo Pickers of Appy State if they ever met.

I get the vibe from listening to the talking heads they are looking for a reason not to give it to a soph even though he's the best of the bunch this year.

Problem for them is I don't see anyone else that can step up and take it from him.

Who knows what they'll do but imo Tebow should get it.

and make no mistake, that close win by LSU over Bama was often used as proof down here of just how tough it is to win week in and week out in the Almighty SEC.
