How about this guy? He wants an essay submitted. No word yet on whether he's going to take off for spelling.

"I have a quick question for the OSU posters here.....In 50 words or less, make your best case for why OSU is more deserving to be ranked #1 and playing in the MNC game at 12-0 than Boise State which also finished the year having beaten all of their opponents at 12-0? No answers like "Isnt it obvious" or "We would kill them" or "Look at our stats", please."

still have to play the game buddy!! I'm sure our depth is not as great as the mighty buckeyes, but our front seven is very good, it would be better if we didnt lose Marcus Thomas!! But, you better block our ends though, because they can run!! We are only giving up 70 yards a game on the ground, something has to give here!! Why would you have your second team in anyways when you barely beat Illinois by seven points? I guess you were looking ahead for the Michigan game!! Its not going to be a cake walk for you guys,trust me, we played some very good teams here!! We look like like the osu team in 2002, great defense,and special teams!! Our strength is speed at the skilled positions,and a fast defense!!

When the score is 17-0 with 7 minutes to go, that's what you do. Unlike the SEC who runs up the score whenever possible.

OK... let's play this game. Let's just assume that I can't convince you that Ohio State deserves the #1 ranking over Boise State. The reason I won't be able to convince you is because by even asking the question, it's clear you can't be reasoned with, and Ohio State's being better than Boise State should be self evident. But, as I said, let's play your game. We'll assume Boise State is #1. Doesn't that make Ohio State #2? They're both 12 - 0, afterall. I'd point out that Florida, then, would not be playing in the BCS Championship game. Moron.

I'm with BKB here. Also a bit confused. Gator fans want Buckeyes to justify to them why we should be playing Boise State instead of Florida? Er, why?

I don't know what's up with that. If they think that it should be Florida vs. Boise State for the NC, they could travel up there with their buddies from Coral Gables. When they get done watching Miami play in their hotel rooms, they can go out and shovel snow until the Boise State team gets back from the Fiesta Bowl.

Re: How do we matchup against tOSU? All of you have bought into the espn spin of OSU being able to beat God. A quick glance at their schedule and there are many questions to be answered and they don't seem so invincible.

The Illini didn't play there perfect game and SHOULD have beaten OSU. I think Boise State has a better argument of being number 1.

If this guy were a REAL Florida fan, he would've said that Illinois never had a chance to beat OSU because they were coached by Ron Zook.

Because now you're going to get it. And your program will be damaged by the experience. You've got a promising young team, but it is in nowhere near ready for this. It's going to be your boys against OSU's men on Jan 8th. I'd say good luck, but it won't be near enough to help you vs. the Buckeyes. Good fortune for you would have been an Orange Bowl berth vs. Notre Dame, a team you may actually be able to beat.

But you're in the BCS title game now. OSU will humiliate you on national television and your program will come out looking like a bunch of spoiled brats getting the comeuppance they deserve. Urban better have his players practice their dejected, hands-in-head stares because that's going to be all that's left for them to do in the second half. The shots of a silent and chastised Urban on the sideline will be priceless, as will his post-game presser. I really am looking forward to it. I just don't think you should be.
