A Mother's Heartbreak.

FeistyRedHeadAZ

A Buckeye Baking In the AZ Sun
@ home with the flu and on meds, forgive if it rambles too much

Okay so the offspring actually made Varsity frosh year, he didn't play but he was one of 3 frosh selected to dress out for the games as he was the leader in carries yards and TD, and the boy did everything but cut the grass. I am on a prep athlete site [We are only 2 1/2 months from the Nike underclassman football combine here, lots to do!] trying to get his profile in order all the while talking to him about which school he would like to go to [Because I wanted to get an idea of cost so I can make some money moves] ... Bear in mind that from the day they placed him in my arms, I pictured him rocking Scarlet and Grey, have endured the humiliation of having to see the only fruit of my loins in a Wolverine uniform [down to the nasty horns on the helmet thanks to little league football,:pissed: ] and now I have suffered the ultimate heartbreak...

My son does not want to be a Buckeye, oh noooo... His choice?

Should I just liquidate his college fund for a trip to Vegas and put him up for adoption now Or should I *persuade* him to consider going back to Ohio? :tongue2: Where did this come from? he's never been to Texas in his life LOL

What does he want to study? Is it something that the Texas school has a better program for? Does he have a sweetie that is going there? You say you already have one scUM in the family, do you really want to have THE RIVALRY in your own home every year?

It sounds like you have a great son who wants to attend a great public university, and I assume that he's done well enough in high school to get in.

There are far worse heartbreaks in life than that.

I'd encourage him to go to Penn State, but that's just me.

:psu2:

Say, can we get some smilies that have "WE ARE" and "PENN STATE" on them?

I would be happy with just a B10 school @ this point [except scUM- I will pole dance to pay tuition before he will go there on a full ride!]
