9-Year-Old Hits Hole-in-One

HOPE TOWNSHIP, Mich. (AP) - May 11, 2006

Tiger Woods, watch out!

Here comes nine-year-old Porter Brown. The junior duffer made a hole-in-one Monday during his first round of golf this season.
Porter scored his ace on the 125-yard sixth hole at the Gully Golf Course in Midland County, Michigan. Porter's father and young brother were by his side.

Porter went on to shoot 42 on the nine-hole, par-three course. Course owner Jerry Clark says they'll be giving Porter a hole-in-one trophy.

Hundreds and hundreds of rounds and never a sniff of a hole in one. Fuck that 9 year old little shit.

31 a double eagle is more rare than a hole in one. That is impressive.

A hole in one is all luck. I suck at golf, and I've probably had a dozen balls within 5 feet of the pin on par 3's (just had one Friday). A lucky bounce and any one of those could have gone in. It just takes one perfect shot to get a hole in one and playing a par 3 course just increases the odds. No doubt that any hole in one is a great feet, but I would probably take just as much pride in an eagle since it is going to take 2 or 3 great shots to do that rather than 1 lucky shot on a par 3. I've probably only had 5 or so eagle putts in my life. I wonder what the odds are on hitting a hole in one if you played a par 3 course every day?

An amatuer's chance of hitting a hole in one is 1 in 12,750.

Haha, speaking of golf... I was with my friend at the local country club, watching people learn how to keep score on an electronic pad for the upcoming Nationwide Tour, and for some odd reason we were standing on the course. Then, 15 minutes into the session, a ball comes flying from 200 yards out into the group, and nails some 55 year old guy in the arm. I didn't see it happen, but I did hear the guy kind of yelp in pain. I was too shocked to realize how ironic, yet hilarious the whole situation was. Luckily the guy was okay, and escaped without any injuries.

Wonder who that friend was.........:wink2:

Lucky that the guy didn't get hit in the head, and get knocked out, or any kind of severe head injury.
