Team A goes 3-and-out from their own endzone.
Team B blocks Team A's punt and recovers at the 1.
Team B goes 3-and-out, loses 3 yards, takes a penalty and misses a FG.
Team A gets the ball on downs, drives the length of the field, and misses a FG.

Teams A & B are two of the 15 best teams in the country!

Did anybody watch the same train wreck I saw last night?

I tried to watch it, but it was very difficult.

Not because the game sucked and there were a lot of mistakes, but since both teams were from Florida, everybody was so fast all I saw on the screen was a bunch of blurs.

Yeah, it's a good thing their parole officers are from Florida, too. Otherwise, they would never be able to keep up with the players who have all that Florida speed.

edit for typo.

I know. If their field goal kickers wouldn't run so fast, the holder might have time to actually get the ball down and set.

Just a quick question. What in the hell happend to ESPNs beloved "Mr. Anytime" Devon Hester? Before the game they headlined an ESPN article about how Deion Sanders ("Mr. Primetime") was giving Hester pointers and that this should help him and and what-not. He didnt show up at all for that game and looked terrible.

Perceptions will always get in the way of reality. Va Tech survives against, granted a nice NC St. team, yet we're beatin a nice team by 34 late in the fourth and can't pass them? I mean, we blanked a team for the most part, that had a 8 returning starters from an already potent offense, granted a MAC team, but still.

Perceptions cannot be changed very quickly. That will change with a win over the horns though.

We beat Texas and we'll jump Michigan to #2...

I hope you're right, and if there was any justice (especially considering how much the media is in love with UT), you would be. However, I'm a little tentative in light of the fact that we usually don't fare very well in the CNN poll relative to the AP poll. I think if we we we'll probably be 3 or 4, but not hop over scUM too, particularly in light of the fact that if scUM beats ND, that'll get them bonus points with the media, since they probably think ND's some powerhouse b/c they beat a crummy Pitt team.

I may be talkin' outta my ass here, but I would rather not be #2 after we beat Tejas. I don't wanna jinx it.

If scUM has a good showing against a newly dangerous Notre Dame, I think they will snatch the #2 spot, followed by us at #3. We win the next couple then beat Iowa, nobody can deny us the #2 spot.

I'm not giving back any first place votes...those are going to be ours after we pound the horns.

What he said! When Bo says TSUN can't tackle and the Domers rock up with a team that has more questions than answers, a win over Texas puts us at number 2 and at number 1 in some people's minds I think
