No PJ's? :shake:

Guarantee PJ's tastes better than any of those places when you're drunk.

Beat me to it.

If this were a list of the top 50 restaurants that will raise cholesterol levels then Pj's would definately be at the top

I disregard any fool who lists no New Orleans restaurants, and any from England. :pissed:

Also agree with this, the title game was a little rough but I had a 3 long orgasm going on in my mouth, couldn't have found a bad meal if I tried

It's been awhile since I've eaten in the Big Easy. Is the Gumbo House still in business? I had really memorable food there. And the Court of Two Sisters - absolutely the best service I have ever had in a restaurant.

Of course, there's no place like K-Paul's.

Let's not confuse restaurans in England with english restaurants. Some of the best international cuisine can be found in London. Why? Because it is a major hub in international travel and the home cuisine sucks.

So you get people travelling through London who want to enjoy eating. A market has grown to serve them and serve them well.

But your bit on the first part is spot freaking on. R.I.P. Harolds Cajun Glory (the only decent cajun place I have been to in Columbus)

My last trip to London was in 89. At the time I could find a decent steak and chop house, Winston's, a very good Italian seafood restaurant, Monzi's off of Drury Lane. Both were a bit on the pricey side and required reservations weeks in advance. There were good fish and chip places -- but a day or two of that and your body needed an oil change. Also a number of good to very good Chinese and Greek restaurants more in line with a travelers pocketbook. The Italian restaurants were awful, red sauce made from ketchup and missing any spices that might have added flavor, the pasta had been boiled and let to sit for hours. In the end we resorted to pub food.

At the other end of the spectrum was the time spent in France and Italy where it seemed impossible to find bad food and with a bit of research you could find something fantastic and at reasonable prices.

I don't think we should have to choose which is better between Waffle House and Denny's. Both are top 10 ever.

IMO, the defining difference is that Denny's is palatable sober. I cannot and will not write thing the same thing about Waffle House.

You're out of your fucking element, Gator. NO has a lot of good, interesting restaurants but none even approach top global levels. And today's London, is not your father's London. While you can still get some bad English food in London, there are also more Michelin Stars currently in London than in Paris.

For the record: 2, 7, 12, 15, 31, 32, 50.

May I never leave my inferior element then...

Michelin is far more "service" focused than my taste requires. "Presentation" and fawning table captains are not essentials on my list. Food in my gullet, however, concerns me greatly, no matter the whiteness of the linen cloth - or even the enormity of the wine cellar.

Now go eat your bangers and mash! :p

Oh yeah. Elvis Costello is here for Jazz Fest, as he was eating at the next table at lunch today at Herbsaint (Ord - no Michelin star, just a James Beard ) today.

I resisted the urge to douchely disturb his meal to tell him how great he is.
