Might be higher ratings as it's possibly Pryor's last college game.

The ratings won't be higher if he doesn't play which seems to be what alot of buckeye fans in this thread want.

Also about TV ratings and sponsorship money etc:

If Ohio States starting QB, RB, #1WR, and LT don't play, Ohio State probably won't score a point on offense for the entire game. The game wouldn't be very entertaining for a nation wide audience. It'll probably be over by the second quarter and all the commericials that are slatedd to air from the second quarter on that the sponsors paid BIG money to have broadcast will for the most part go unseen. When the game is a blowout in the second quarter people (other than those in Ohio or Arkansas) will likely change the channel.

Sponsors have already paid their money yes. But we shouldn't think that they don't have the power to make sure their interests are properly served. The people that write the checks want a competitive and entertaining game. Suspending Ohio States entire offense doesn't serve their purpose. Just like suspending Cam Newton so Auburn could lose and TCU could get destroyed in the title game didn't serve the sponsors interests either.

Very Tressel-esque for the press conference to start a few minutes early. I think it started at 3:27 and was over by about 3:31. Very brief. Posey coming back, no one else committed to coming back during the press conference.

So, obviously Posey is returning. Good for him, I think this bodes well for him and his draft stock. With so many WR's having conduct issues lately, his rebuilding his image while in college can only help IMO.

Thomas said this was a "life changing issue" make me think he is gone, however he isn't a house hold name and he will be looking at a second-third day draft, maybe even FA.

Herron I think is gone if we win this game. The backfield is full of young talent, and he could lose his position as a starter altogether next year. He had a solid year, combine that with a solid combine and maybe a good All-Star game, he will be drafted in the 4th-5th round.

Pryor is the odd ball out. I want to see him return but he has plenty of upside to stay AND leave. Not knowing if it will be a full 5 games, or will the scouts look at him as a great "receiver/TE"? This decision will take some time.

1. I see you had a little hyperbole for lunch today.
2. Remember that we have a lot of RBs. A lot of very good ones, even.
3. Miller has proven to be a serviceable LT.
4. Sanzenbacher has been the go-to WR this year more than Posey.

Would we miss them? Yes. Would we be shut out on offense without them? Most probably not.

thats what the scouts will see him as but i cant see pryor being ok with the decision to play WR/TE...he came here because he said tOSU will best get him ready to play QB at the next level...and with Tebow's recent 2 game success with pryor to point at, i dont see him telling his new NFL coach that he would be glad to play WR/TE
