5 players suspended for 5 games in 2011 regular season (Appeal has been denied)

man this one guy on twitter is tweeting every single player he is friends with or whatever asking them if anyone is suspended...its hilarious, sad, and annoying all at the same time...not sure if we are allowed to post links or i would

Nope. Unless a player (or interaction with one) tweet ends up in a formal news story, we do not allow twitter links, due to all of the murkiness and headaches it can cause, like the ones you're talking about.

Meh. Plenty of time to worry about this if it turns out to be something other than a rumor. Players have mothers, mothers see tattoos, mothers ask questions... not exactly the makings of a good Top Secret project.

Personally, I trade autographs for goods and services on a regular basis. MasterCard gets kind of ticked otherwise.
It's not like tattoo artists have never given tattoos for favors before... that wouldn't constitute "special" treatment
When you're an amatuer athlete using the popularity you've generated as an amatuer athlete to attain some sort of good or service, it's a violation by means of special treatment. Do I think anything will come from this? No. But I can see there being truth to the grades rumors for a few guys and I'll leave it at that.

Exactly. Once you sign that LOI the NCAA owns all rights to your signature.

I know how it works, but think how absurd it really is.
