A TV station helicopter crashed on top 13,000 ft Wheeler Peak while looking for a lost hiker. The crew was arguably in more danger at that altitude than the hiker. Fortunately, no one died.
But, how the hell do you get a wadded up helicopter off a 13,000 ft mountain top?
Well, you drive up the hiking trail and take it apart! That's how! :tongue2:
The hiker had a minor case of exposure from 3 days in the wilderness.

The bridge pictured is a favorite suicide spot. Good for 4-5 suicides a year.
It has appeared in numerous movies like East Rider, Natural Born Killers, Wild Hogs.

I live in Phoenix also and the first thing that crash reminded me of while watching the news was 911 during the second plane crash.

I don't agree with paparazzi (sp?) or sensationalized journalism but this crash sucked. Originally I didn't even believe the helo's involved were originally following the chase, more or less just the traffic. From what I understand now though at least one of the choppers took off when they got the call on the scanne. Not sure what the pilots were thinking but this is pretty crappy.
