Sounds like a direct hit by the major rotor blades. Aren't the pilots of these things supposed to be paying attention to the air while the reporters look down!?

I do, and here's why, it's becoming a big problem with the media making celebrities out of every person who takes the cops for a run. Here in SoCal they have like 3-4 a day, and there's media flying all over to make the big story, so if you're going to fly around and make thugs and idiots into temporary celebrities by driving real fast then I am going to laugh at you when Karma runs your helicopter into another.

I guess you would have to understand how often we here in SoCal see high speed chases and see how much the media sensationalizes them and obstructs or destroys the police's ability to do their job by televising the chases.

We had to make a law about it it was getting so bad. People would rush to the freeway or side roads that they would see on the chopper-cam and get run over, carjacked, etc. Or the reporters would be reporting and televising the police's road blocks and other things and the runaway would avoid it by going a different way...all kinds of stuff.
