Last second field goal lifts Vandy to the victory over Alabama. One of Vandys last recruits on the board, a 4 star defensive end out of Alabama, was reported to be in Nashville to check out the game. Previous reports had Vandy listed second in a neck and neck recruitment. The number one team on his list? 'Bama. It'll be interesting to see how his list changes in the coming week.

Not sure how much it matters in the game, but I'm hoping having the same amount of wins as Uconn will help me close the gap on him and get closer to that #2 spot

one thing that may help will be the conf title game, I will be playing a possible top 5 team in the pac12, while Uconn will be playing someone outside the top 20

ummmm no.. Uconn plays me next week, I expect to be around 12 or 11. IF he wins... he has to play me again in the conference title game. If he wins BOTH games... I will have to go hari cari.

In short, do not fear the Huskies, their toughest games lie before them :wink:

thats what i was adding in...if you win all of what i said is moot...but if he wins you will drop a few spots, likely just outside top 20, and yes you will play again.

What I am thinking is I intend to be ranked 11th or so and then this week I'll beat the #2 team in the country, hopefully propelling me into the top 5 or near it. Then in the Championship game I'll beat a team ranked around 6 and slide up to maybe 3 or 4 just outside the title game. Win my bowl game end finish the season ranked #2?
