I know what you mean. I'm going after 12 4*'s and only 2 of them have me in their top 10, and that was from the beginning!!!

I may have to give up on them this year, and keep going for 3*

Yeah, I added about 10 4*s, none put me in their top 10 after week 1 and heavy recruiting... so I dropped em.

After a thin 2011 class for the Cougars, Houston is off to a great start in the 2012 class. Recruiting fans get caught up in game outcomes and prestige for official visitors, but success usually pays more dividends down the road, and we are seeing that in a big way here.

They were very aggressive, passing on over half a dozen 4-stars in order to chase a dozen ESPN150 prospects with no interest in the program. They hit a lot of dead ends, but caught the eye of one stud in particular.

At 6'5" 201 lbs, FS Ricky Parham isn't just a well-rounded defender (B- cov, tak, hit, etc). He ran a 4.28 non-wind aided 40, timed electronically. That is scorching. He is also spending a year in junior college, meaning he'll enter houston with more physical and mental development than most of his peers.

At quarterback, they locked up an instant verbal from 3* QB Clint Williams (6'4" 190 4.5). His passing ability needs some work but he will be a very solid backup to spell Terrance Broadway on designed QB runs. They are after a few other prospects, including shooting for the moon with both 5* 4.5 QBs, so far with no success whatsoever.

We will keep you appraised of all new recruiting developments, but the rest of the upstart programs are officially on notice if Parham takes his services to Houston as expected.

When the Cougars poured their hearts out to 4.32 5* RB Bobby Easley, not only did the kid laugh throughout the pitches, but apparently he secretly conference called Urban Meyer to share in the comedy. After sharing that bit of bonding and douchebaggery, Bobby pledged to him orally and Urban nearly cried from the pleasure.

"Go Big or Go Home" That's the unofficial title of this year's UCF recruiting class.

I believe i've got 1 3* guy and the rest of them are 4-5*s.

It's going to be a small class but hopefully a very useful one.

Week 1 I had 3 instacommits...including 1 **** WR who is going to see PT soon due to the upperclassmen at wideout. Sitting in the driver's seat for another 4 or 5 **** recruits. The other two instacommits were a guard and a center, which is a continuation of the build from the inside out. This year should also bring some good skill position players as well.
