I don't think the squeaky wheel was squeaking loudly enough to get greased last year. This year the issue has consumed this board, IGN, and the EA forum, and tons of people have been calling, e-mailing, and live chatting support about it. I don't know exactly how it was last year, but if anything would get their attention it was the conflagration of complaints that has been roaring the last week.

NCAA's Broken Dynasty Mode -- Another reason we need a revolution - Operation Sports Forums
This is very frustrating. I'm in year 7 of my dynasty and these things have really started to affect my dynasty.

I got the #1 WR recruit in the nation and was excited....until I saw his 31 juke and 32 spin moves.

My kicker has 40 KPW and 40 KAC.

#1 MLB in the nation comes in at an 81 OVR......but with 41 AWR.

Half of the teams are D+ or worse and teams like Texas, UF, and Michigan are sitting at C or worse.

I was really enjoying this game so much....this is so frustrating.

Info about PATCH from EA - NCAA® Football Series General Discussion - NCAA Football Series: EA Forums
Just got off the phone with customer support Ryan, who was very nice and helpful.....(FYI, like most companies, EA uses a call center not associated with them for customer support, which also runs their online forums apparently)

He apologized for the problems and said that EA didn't expect the popularity of this years game. He said it far exceeded the initial players from last year, which is why there are so many online issues.

He said two that they just received a company wide email saying that the patch was due by "end of day" which means 6pm central time. The said it should fix some of the major problems such as progression.

He said, and this was just his opinion, that EA always gives a brighter forecast for the update then what usually occurs and that his guess would be that the patch would actually out between midnight and tomorrow afternoon.

He put me on hold for about ten minutes, and when he came back he said that he just spoke to the people running the forums and that they had an onslaught of activity which is why they haven't been updating. He said that the call center has received tons of calls and that the online administrators were going to give some announcement on the EA forums, and hopefully this would alleviate some of the calls that they were getting.

Anyway, I'm not saying this is rock solid, absolutely true information. Just what I was told and he sounded credible and honest.

Just wanted to pass this along so we have some idea of what to expect.

Also, from posts on the EA forum I read that Madden 08 I believe had some problem regarding progression, and it made you start a new dynasty after the patch. Again, just info and not necessarily 100 percent accurate.

:slappy: That handoff run backwards for 30 yards then heave the ball to have the guy catch it and take it to the house has happened to me like 3 times outside of our dynasty. Absolutely ridiculous. But the guy diving in the back of the endzone at the end of that video is AWESOME! :lol :lol: :lol: :lol: :lol:

:lol: yea, that play almost had me throwing the controller....

Im pretty sure they ran a draw play on 3rd down about 90% of the time, and I stopped it 5% of the time, god that was frustrating, I could not find a defense to stop
their run game

man, rewatching that interception fumble...I so should have lost that game, that would have put them up 21-7 :lol:

I had an absolutely CRAZY game last night. Florida was came to Commonwealth Stadium and I probably had 5 or 6 recruits in town so it was a BIG game....really my first big conference game. I went over to Stamm's to play it and the first thing that happened was when we were in getting refills on our drinks, his little daughter Cayman decided it would be funny to push the little green button on the xbox so I had to start over (I was down 7-0 in the second quarter).

Basically I was down early, came back late and had a two touchdown lead in the 4th thanks to a pick 6. They go on comeback mode and set up this situation: DOWN 7 WITH :01 LEFT ON MY 12 YARD LINE. I'M IN QUARTER SO BRANTLEY SITS BACK THERE FOREVER, FINALLY THROWS A DART AND COMPLETES THE PASS ON THE 1....MY GUYS SOMEHOW KEEP HIM ON THE 1 INCH LINE....GAME OVER, BIG BLUE COMES AWAY VICTORIOUS. IT WAS SHADES OF TA MCLENDON VS OSU IN 2003.

The replay is the last one in my game, you all should check it out.

Ryan tried to give it away... I think he had a 3 TD lead in the 4th, or at least a 2 TD lead with the ball within scoring distance. Florida was pretty tough to stop though.

Both of us went nuts at the end of the game with my wife and his fiance both in the room looking at us like "dude, it's a video game".

That's the best...when you make heads turn and all they think is dude it's just a game. Actually it's more than a game because it's MY team. That's priceless.

Or when I'm furious throughout a user game that I end up storming back to win and then get all worked up again when it takes me 80 min to advance the dynasty. I got the "it is just a game" line there :lol:
