Breaking news from WEEK 9:

ESPNU's #1 QB Jeff Williams has committed to the Houston Cougars!

"I have always enjoyed watching Coach Leach's wide open offense on ESPN," Williams told ESPN, "but watching Terrance Broadway running all over the field too, well that was enough for me, especially with how he utilizes his backups quite a bit."

At 6'5" 206 lbs with 4.4 speed and a rocket arm with touch, it was a no brainer to peg Jeff as our top QB prospect and our #15 prospect overall. He breaks tackles like a tailback and eludes tacklers like a slot receiver. He is going to do big things on the next level from day one.

His commitment pushes Houston to the #4 overall class, already paired with 5 other 4* prospects and a few more who could verbal soon, including a juco All-American free safety with 4.36 speed and also tips the scales at 6'5 201 lbs.

Maryland, Baylor, SMU are putting together some salty classes as well, but keep an eye out for Wake Forest as a darkhorse.

One thing being overlooked is my work recruiting on the offensive line...5 commits in this class and 5 before. Hopefully that will lead to an improved running game. Right now it is all on the arm and legs of my QB. Not like Indiana throwing for 800 a game...but still.

Thishh is what I’d shhay to Miami Ohio jushht before taking the field againshht Virginia Tech. Men, nothing ishh ashh good ashh it shheemshh. And nothing ishh ashh bad ashh it shheemshh but shhomewhere in between, there reality fallshh. We’re not ashh bad ashh the public would lead you to believe. We can’t change the pashht, but we can control the future. We cannot let advershhity get the beshht of us. We cannot and will not loshhe thishh week. Remember the good lord put eyeshh in the front of your head rather than the back, shho you can shhe where you’re going rather than where you’ve been. What we found out thishh week, when thingshh go wrong, the only friendshh you have in thishh world, are thoshhe who you eat with, shhleep with, bleed with, pray with, and cry with. That’shh your family and your teammateshh. We have to be a family. Doeshhn’t mean you have the shhame lashht name, doeshhn’t mean you have the shhame addresshh. What it doeshh mean ishh you don’t let one another down. How well we play today ishh critical to your future I’m not talking about football, I’m talking about life twenty yearshh from now. You’re gonna get laid off your job, the bankshh gonna refushhe to exshhtend the mortgage on your home, your car breakshh down on the way home. And when you finally get home, your four children tell ya, your wife just ran off with the drummer. You aren’t even going to flinch. You’re gonna shhay we’ve met the challenge before against Miami, Florida State, and Clemson and we’ll meet the challenge here. It’shh all about believein’. Shhomebody has to pay for what happened last year, and today it’shh gotta be Virginia Tech. Let’shh go.
