360 NCAA10 Movie Team Dynasty

Sorry for the typo, fothdog won the sim.

Miami's pass d just ran into Superman. South Carolina's Stephen Garcia was amazing, 35-47 for 427 and two tds. He had 300 yds passing after his first completion after halftime.

Unable to defend his pinpoint accuracy, coach d'amato chose to release the hounds and try and rattle him. Garcia still completed many passes under pressure, but between a few key turnovers and 2-3 4th down stops in the redzone, they did just enough to weather the storm. They also forced a few key strips.

Freshman lb Chris Jones had a whale of a game after being used primarily as a pass rusher. He finished with 15 tackles, 7 for loss, and 6 sacks.

The final score is misleading. Miami was losing by 7 until 1 min left in the third, only winning by 4 with 3 min left (forced a scar fg). They also got two redzone stops after that, plus two late tds to ice the game.

Miami struggled to pass the ball all game (131 of beamen's 213 passing yds came in the last 5 min). They put up big numbers on the ground, totalling 300 yds as a team, led by franchise rb Washington's 26 for 180 and 2 td performance.

The ESU Timberwolves steamrolled previously unbeaten Wake Forest 60-24.

Quarterback Joe Kane was a pedestrian 19/28 for 222 2/2

However, the fireworks were provided by freshman phenom Darnell Jefferson, who carried 43 times, for 315 yards and 4 touchdowns.

Senior All American LB Alvin Mack led the way defensively with 7 tackles, 1 tfl.

I played it. If you had been available today, I would have waited.

I also wanted to put Fothdog on autopilot for BrutuS to play him, but I got two immediate votes for sim & 1 for don't care, so I ruled with the mob. It hasn't sat well with me that fothdog won two games when he was the delinquent party. I put W Canaan on autopilot when he didn't show, and Joe beat him. I also put osustamm & gomer on autopilot, but those are not as relevant as they were gone indefinitely.

I think we should install a new official rule that if a user can't make his assigned game, he gets put on autopilot and his opponent plays the CPU.
If the two users try to play but cannot finish (connection problems, etc) or both fail to make an assigned game time (Joe misses the Tue PM game, TJnTN misses the Wed PM), then the game is simmed.

Does that sound fair everyone?

Sounds fine. I am, at this ungodly hour, on my way to the airport. I got my game and recruiting in yesterday, so I shouldn't mess too much with the dynasty. Will be back monday, if we do end up advancing sunday night Jwins you have the right to do whatever to me that week.

Staying in a hotel room with your boss all weekend is a miserable job, but someone has to do it. I still don't understand why it has to be me...

I will be back monday evening!

BrutuS has tinkered with the sliders a bit and liked the results better, albeit with a very small sample size. Has anyone else found the QB passing to be a little too ridiculous and wanted to lower the settings? We're always open to review, though you should test them over a few games to see the results.

As I stated below, my concern is to keep the CPU competitive, but perhaps 10 accuracy would retain that well enough while ditching some of the insanity.

Thoughts?

I just replayed the rutgers game offline and had a pretty decent game. I moved QB accuracy for CPU to 10, Their QB didn't look like Favre, but he still made some big plays. The score was like 41 - 26. I never saw any significant evidence of comeback AI and I was up on them the whole time.

It's a very small sample size, but I don't see where reducing the CPUs accuracy will be too dramatic a change, but it can't hurt if/when comeback AI rears it's ugly head.

That's my suggestion/request anyhow. That was the only change I recall making to the settings.

feel free to try tweaking the sliders and running test games. I might recommend playing against that exact same team with different rosters.

the thing I found with less CPU accuracy was it was just too easy to get them off of the field. I agree they might be a little too good right now, but it's also made every game a challenge other than playing the sisters of the poor.

let me know what you find in your sliders experiments. we're always open to revision.

How has recruiting been going for everyone? I've got one commit from a 4* DT.
setting up well, but only one verbal (a 3* SS with speed, depth guy). Playing bama/mich will be big for recruiting, and a challenge. My rivalry game isn't until week 14, and it's away.

See the 2nd post in the hoover dynasty report, I added a race for Mr. February tracking the offered verbals. I'm eventually going to change it to a movie dynasty report and get aliases for people to report their results, but I've been a little busy this week.

I wanted to add that I also didn't have an interception that game. So it didn't seem to cause a turnover advantage for the player either.

And with regards to recruiting, I also only have one verbal at this point. A 4 star CB.
