We played tonight but my lag was horrendous, and eventually it severed the connection. The culprit? Installing the game to the hard drive. I remembered doing that yesterday, and that dynasty files loaded very slowly ever since (maybe my HD is slow/dying?).

Deleted the installation, and the game played like a charm. We're replaying tomorrow.

Just got done. AC Slater threw up playstation like numbers on the ground. 330 with 5 TD's. UCLA couldn't stop him.

Screech Powers had a kick return for a TD.

Should be enough to seal the deal with my 5th 5 Star. A balaced TE.

Go Bayside!

330 yds rushing?!? How do you do that? I have to work hard just to get 100+ yards in a game. I'm lucky if I have 1 or 2 runs that go for 10+ yards. I don't understand how you guys can get those types of numbers.

I got my ass handed to me by Miami (non-jwins variety, although he did well against me in week 2). Their defense smothered me. I could run okay at times, but couldn't do much of anything throwing the ball. I kept it close through the first half (14-10) but then the BS started. Fumble on a punt return that they picked up and ran in for a score. Then they got another fumble after my RB had a big run. I had my best defensive output of the year, IMO, in the first half. I read a screen pass on their first drive and picked it off with my DE. Too much BS early in the second half though and it put me in passing situations and my WRs couldn't catch the ball.

The only way I could get the ball to my receivers was to rifle the ball. Whenever I do that, though, it's always incomplete. I was able to complete 2 deep balls against them by getting behind the defense but all other attempts were swatted away. Does anyone have any passing tips so that the WRs will actually hold on to the ball? This is really starting to [censored] me off.

AC Slater is a beast. He's got good speed and makes guys miss. I try to run a lot of plays with blockers to defenders advantages. The Maryland I is pretty good. And UCLA really sucked and defending the option.

Me too, i turn the option to "focus on catch". It seems to help a bit but my guys like to drop the ball. (hence the 330 yards on the ground)

Catches also seem to be linked to the quality of quarterback. I know I have a lot more drops with my mediocre backup qb.

For running the ball, I like ace 2 te formations, or I form twins. Pulling guards can help, but they can hurt just as often, as a DT or lb can fly through their gap.

Also, flicking the right stick up after contact can buy you an extra 1-3 yards. It risks a fumble, but those are rare. Very rarely you can break the tackle, but its more useful for falling forward.

That shouldn't be much of an issue for me, I'd think. My starting QB is 90 OVR and my backup is 92 OVR. I don't notice much of a difference when throwing with either one. I use my 90 OVR as my starter since he is a little bit faster, and I need that for trying to buy time against the pass rush. My other guy gets sacked too much. Regardless, I don't think there's much difference in their passing ratings. You're welcome to take a peak at them and give me any feedback if you want.

I try quite a bit of that. I don't think my Oline is bad, but sometimes I can't get my run game going, even when the CPU doesn't have a very good DL.

Yeah, I do this all the time. It's an easy way to add a couple of yards. I also cover the ball when doing this to try and avoid fumbling. It usually works pretty well.
