One other thing, if we can pull this off without using Texas, that might be ideal. If 2011 is anything like 2010, the only pipeline that is truly dominant is Texas. The down side of that is that Baylor, TCU & Houston are some intriguing small schools.

It might be fair within the league, but that doesn't fix the issue of the advantage over poor Akron or East Carolina

Well I'm wondering if it'd be worth it going with a 1* cuz it really depends on how long this beast goes on for. I want to take a 1* and make them into a 5* but it's not worth that if we only play 2 or so seasons. How long has the movie dynasty gone on for?

I'd have to check, but I believe we made it 1-2 years past all real players (so about 6-7), and a big reason we had to restart was the lack of stability in the divisions (losing players). I think we made it about 3-5 in the next dynasty.

see post 61 or the top of this thread, updated the teams with their respective rivals. I was surprised to find some 2 & 3 star teams that were a bit too good (I'm looking for C teams or with B/D splits like Nevada).

We might be able to use the northern teams for the big ten and big east.

As long as Texas isn't unfair long term, those texas teams would be perfect. We could tone down TCU's roster a bit if necessary.

Looking for advice eh? Too lazy to read the whole thread, just a page or two.

So I guess you guys are looking at Team Prestige rankings? What we have done over in the PS3 leagues is go by the final team ranking numbers. Using the final team rating numbers you really can see the separation of teams, and then notice what higher prestige teams stick out like a sore thumb so you can kick them out.

The only down side is you do have to wait til we get closer to the release date. But it never fails that those numbers get published a bit early.

Regarding the Texas issue. It does matter a lil. Being the only team in a major state like Florida, Texas, & California does make a difference. But if there are 3-4 teams in Texas, then it kinda ends up evening out, unless one team can dominate.

That new dynasty highlight feature will make it a lot easier to run a fun dynasty report. Before the video and picture publishing was really time consuming, this should be quick and simple.

Piney, we were going to use 4 small schools from Texas imported into the big 12

My concern is whether they will get too big of an advantage over the Ohio or east coast small schools (the latter in weak recruiting states like NC, tn, etc)
