INDIANAPOLIS -- The last name Christie has become a familiar one for college basketball coaches in the Midwest and nationally.

Max Christie, a national top 20 shooting guard, has signed with Michigan State and will be a freshman with the Spartans this coming year. His younger brother, Cameron Christie, will have a chance in the next two years to step out of his older brother’s shadow. The starred together in the backcourt for Rolling Meadows (Ill.) High School the last two seasons.

Michigan State was the first school to offer Cameron Christie a scholarship last year with Ohio State following suit earlier this month.
