“Once you step on campus and get a chance to sit with the staff, coach Holtmann, I think you’re immediately get a sense that he is an outstanding teacher, motivator, leader,” Stewart said. “The kids absolutely love the staff. When you watch practice, you can see the respect that they have for him with the work they put in the court, the attention they pay to what he’s teaching.”

In addition to practice and the football team’s Saturday night game against Penn State, Stewart said the family enjoyed a dinner at Holtmann’s house attended by the staff, their families and the current roster as well.

“The whole basketball staff was there, and we just got a chance to have dinner together, get to know each other better, talk, laugh, fellowship,” he said. “Sean got a great chance to hang out with the players and I think that was the highlight for us. He just enjoyed the time with them. Every time I saw him, he had a smile on his face.”

While at the football game, Sean Stewart sat with second-year Ohio State freshman guard Meechie Johnson Jr.

“(Sean) mentioned him a couple times,” the dad said. “All of them, the guys really embraced him and showed him what Ohio State was all about.”

@wigmon and @buckeydoptimist It would be nice if you guys would post your general thoughts regarding recruiting in the general discussion thread at the top of this forum and leave the individual recruit threads to the discussion of those recruits. I have asked you before to do this so maybe this little reminder will help you with your memory.
